The Brother Scan, the Apple Watch app that was first introduced to the world with the iPhone X, is getting a few tweaks to its software.
The new app has two new features that will make it easier to use the Brother scanner.
First, the app will no longer require a passcode to unlock the iPhone and will also unlock the device with just a touch.
Second, if you use the app and it doesn’t detect the fingerprint of your iPhone, the fingerprint scanner will automatically scan your fingerprint and save it in the database.
Apple’s software update will also allow the app to scan for fingerprints of other iPhone users, which could be useful if your fingerprint reader is not up to snuff.
The new features are only available for iOS 11.4.1.
We have seen many new features in the latest Apple updates, and we’ll be sure to bring you more information as soon as we can.
AppleInsider will bring you a full review of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Plus next week, but in the meantime, be sure you read our review of Apple’s upcoming iPhone X and iPhone Xs.
