Corsairs and other computer gaming peripheral manufacturers are bringing more PC gaming functionality to their peripherals this year at CES, with the most notable addition being a new CorsAir gaming laptop.
In a surprise move, Acer announced the CX-R8 gaming laptop, a sleek and sleek laptop that combines CorsAIR’s powerful, high-end PC gaming software with a modern, high performance gaming rig.
Corsair’s CX series of laptops includes the C5 and C6 series of gaming laptops, the C3, C5S, C7 and C8 series of portable gaming laptops.
The CX Series laptops feature a range of gaming hardware, including the gaming CPU, GPU, memory and storage, and a range the industry is calling the CXL series of peripherals.
While Acer’s C3 gaming laptop is the most impressive, the latest addition to CX and CXL is the C9 gaming laptop which uses Cors AIR’s latest gaming software, CXL.
The new CX9 gaming notebook is also the first gaming laptop to feature a built-in, integrated, high capacity storage system, and will be available for $1,199.
This announcement came from Acer, which confirmed to TechRadars that the Cx9 will be the first CX laptop to come with an integrated high capacity, ultra high-speed, high density storage system.
Acer also said the CFX9 gaming system will be released in December, and it will offer a high-performance graphics card, a 1TB hard drive, and an Intel Celeron N2030 processor.CXL will also be available as a standalone accessory for $299, which includes a CX Gaming PC, a CXL Gaming SSD, a pair of Corsair PowerEdge 15GB SSDs, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a power cable, a cable to connect the CorsAcer gaming laptop via USB, and some USB ports.
Acer is also introducing a C9C gaming laptop with a CFX 9 gaming laptop and a C12C gaming notebook.
The CX gaming laptop features a 12.6-inch touchscreen display with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with 4GB of GDDR5 memory and a 2,000MHz GDDR5X graphics processor.
The laptop also has a 12MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and dual LED backlit display.
The Acer CX10 gaming laptop sports a 12-inch 1080p display with a 1,280×1,440 resolution.
The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is a 13-inch gaming laptop that comes with an Intel Core i5-4590, 8GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5100 and a 1 TB PCIe SSD.
The Inspiron also has an optional USB-E 3.0 Type-C port for plugging in external USB-based peripherals and an optional Intel USB-X 7.0 hub for connecting peripherals to external USB devices.
The Lenovo IdeaPad X20 is a 12 inch gaming laptop from Lenovo that comes in a range from $1.939 to $2.149.
The X20 comes with a 10.1-inch display with 720p resolution.
The device comes with the Lenovo IdeaPAD 13 Pro Gaming keyboard with 100,000-watt Razer BlackWidow Pro Cherry MX Red backlighting and Bluetooth 5.0.
The ThinkPad X15 also comes with two USB-e 3.1 Type-A ports for charging and a 10MP rear-facing camera.
The new CXL gaming laptops are available for preorder now for $349 and will ship in early December.
